A fire started Sunday near the future site of the Northern California Veterans Museum between Anderson and Cottonwood. There have been many fires over the years in that same place on Cottonwood Hill between Interstate Five and Rhonda Road. Sunday’s fire burned about 3 acres of dry grass and light brush before Cal-Fire crews stopped forward progress just before 2 O’clock.
