A standoff in Red Bluff early Saturday morning turned out peacefully. A little before 5AM a woman was across the street from the Comfort Inn on Sale Lane yelling for her children to be returned to her. Officers determined she was a victim of domestic violence and headed across the street to talk to 21-year-old Christian Sandoval-Perez. When they got there they heard someone yelling for help. Sandoval-Perez was found in a second floor hallway holding a pistol. The hotel occupants were evacuated as officers negotiated with the man for an hour and 15 minutes until he finally dropped the gun. It turned out to be a realistic-looking replica.
