Two men died in a crash of a dump truck Thursday night in Happy Valley. At around 8:45PM a Ford F550 dump truck loaded with metal fence T-posts was eastbound on China Gulch Road approaching Canyon Road when it came to a sharp right curve. The driver lost control and the truck went across the opposing lane and off the road, dropping about 50 feet down an embankment and landing on its roof. Neither the driver nor the passenger were belted in and both were ejected. They were found pinned under the wreckage of the cab and both died of their injuries. Their names have not been released. The CHP says alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
