Shasta County has added 7 more Coronavirus cases for a total of 242. On Friday a woman in her 50’s became the 7th Coronavirus death for the county. The new cases range in age from under 13 to a woman in her 30’s. 3 have symptoms. There are 31 active cases. 3 people are hospitalized, two of them in the I.C.U. 142 people are quarantined due to possible exposure.
Butte County reported 118 new cases over the weekend for a total of 640. 1 more death was reported for a total of 5. Tehama County is up to 134. Glenn County’s has had 214. Lassen County has had 44 cases in the community, in addition to 447 in the prison population. 6 new cases were confirmed over the weekend in Siskiyou County for a total of 50. There have been 181 in Humboldt County. Trinity County is still reporting 2 cases, and there are still none confirmed in Modoc County.
18,659 tests have been reported negative in Shasta County. Those numbers don’t include people who have been tested for antibodies, as Vitalant has been doing with all blood donors. Anyone can still get tested for free, whether showing symptoms or not. If insurance doesn’t cover the cost, the state will. Appointments at lhi.care/covidtesting. Mobile testing is available in Burney, Fall River, and now in Downtown Redding at Shasta Community Health Center, with appointments at 225-5591. Rite-Aid on Eureka Way is offering drive through testing with appointments at riteaid.com.
