Shasta County has 8 new Coronavirus cases for a total of 250. On Friday a woman in her 50’s became the 7th Coronavirus death for the county. The new cases range in age from their 30’s to their 80’s, and 7 of them have symptoms. There are 30 active cases. 4 people are hospitalized, 2 of them in intensive care. 40 people are quarantined due to possible exposure.
Butte County may be added to the state’s watch list as cases continue to grow at an increasing pace. 118 new cases over the weekend makes a total of 640, and another death brings a total of 5. State officials will likely add Butte to the watch list on Wednesday.
Tehama County is up to 134 with one death. Glenn County has had 219 with one death. Lassen County has had 46 cases in the community, in addition to 466 in the prison population. Siskiyou County added 6 for a total of 50. There have been 181 in Humboldt County with 4 deaths. Trinity County is still reporting 2 cases, and there are still none confirmed in Modoc County.
19,052 tests have been reported negative in Shasta County. Those numbers don’t include people who have been tested for antibodies, as Vitalant has been doing with all blood donors.
