4PM Thursday: Butte County Surpasses 700 Cases

Shasta County had a bad Coronavirus day, with 13 new cases reported for a total of 268. The new cases range in age from their 20’s to their 80’s. A dozen of them have symptoms and one is in the hospital. 7 people have died. there are 33 active cases. 4 people are hospitalized, two of them in intensive care. 148 people are quarantined due to possible exposure.

Butte County has been added to the state watch list, subjecting them to many more restrictions. They reported 39 additional Coronavirus cases Thursday for a total of 722 with 5 deaths

Tehama County is surging, having now reported 165 cases with one death. Glenn County is already on the state watch list, with 251 cases and one death. Lassen County has had 48 cases in the community, in addition to 467 in the prison population. Siskiyou County has had 53. There have been 195 in Humboldt County with 4 deaths. Trinity County has reported it’s third case, and they’ll have a drive through testing event at the fairgrounds in Hayfork this Friday from 9AM to 1PM. There are still none confirmed in Modoc County.
