An Anderson man has been sentenced for shooting into a car. On June 1st of last year, 19-year-old Jorge Yovani Viramontes drove a woman to Anderson River Park so she could buy marijuana from some people. Viramontes did not get along with one of the people in the other car, and that person made a derogatory remark about the woman with Viramontes. That’s when Viramontes got out of his car and fired multiple rounds into the other car. Anderson Police detectives eventually tracked down Viramontes and arrested him for attempted murder. He was sentenced Wednesday to 13 years in state prison.
