Shasta County has reported another COVID-19 death, and has added more than 60 cases in a week. 8 new cases were reported Thursday, bringing the total to 276. The new cases range in age from their teens to their 50’s and six have symptoms. The county’s 8th death was a man in his 80’s. There are 33 active cases. 4 people are hospitalized, two of them in intensive care. 164 people are quarantined due to possible exposure.
Butte County has been added to the state watch list, subjecting them to many more restrictions. They reported 36 additional Coronavirus cases Friday for a total of 758 with 5 deaths. Tehama County has reported 165 cases with one death. Glenn County is already on the state watch list, with 259 cases and one death. Lassen County has had 52 cases in the community, in addition to 486 in the prison population. Siskiyou County has had 55. There have been 200 in Humboldt County with 4 deaths. Trinity County has had three cases, and they’ll hold a drive through testing event at the fairgrounds in Hayfork this Friday from 9AM to 1PM. There are still none confirmed in Modoc County.
