Man Arrested After Standoff With Deputies Near Yreka

A man held Siskiyou County Deputies in a standoff Thursday at his home just outside Yreka. A little before 1PM deputies were sent to a house on Dewitt Park Road on reports that shots were fired during a disturbance. When they arrived, 35-year-old Daniel Rawley was sitting on his front porch loading a shotgun. He appeared to be drunk. He was persuaded to set the shotgun on the ground but he then fled into the house. The shotgun was retrieved by deputies, but it wasn’t known how many other guns were inside. With numerous deputies positioned around the house, a negotiator eventually convinced Rawley to surrender, and several other guns were found.
