New evacuations warnings were issued for the North Complex of fires in Plumas and Butte Counties including for the Town of Paradise. Late Sunday night the Butte County Sheriff’s Office sent the evacuation warnings for Paradise, and the areas of Stirling City, Magalia, and Clark Road from the Paradise town limits south to Highway 70, east to Lake Oroville to include Pentz Road from the Paradise town limits south to Highway 70. Mandatory evacuations were issued for the areas of Pulga, Concow, Big Bend, and Yankee Hill. 2,741 residential and commercial structures have been destroyed and 109 damaged, mostly in Berry Creek, Feather Falls and other communities northeast of Lake Oroville. There have been 15 confirmed fatalities and 2 injuries. The 306,130 acre complex includes the Bear Fire, or “North Complex West Zone”, along with the Sheep and Claremont Fires.
