Human remains found in Trinity County are presumed to be those of a man who’s been missing for about 5 months. 63-year-old Michael Wayne Wade Sr. of Big Bar was reported missing on May 17th. Trinity County Search and Rescue covered area trails and other locations Wade was known to frequent, and officials have checked with family members in Oregon, who said they hadn’t heard from him for a week. Despite extensive searches, wade was not found until October 1st, when Forest Service employees found skeletal remains near Big Bar. Other items found with the bones pointed to Wade’s identity, and DNA analysis will be done to be sure. No obvious signs of foul play were found during an autopsy. Family members have been notified.
