A Lassen County parolee ran into trouble in Redding Wednesday afternoon. At 2:45PM, an RPD Officer in the parking lot of Five Guys and Chipotle on Dana Drive spotted a Toyota Camry that had been reported stolen from Susanville. As she started giving commands to the two occupants of the car, the driver got out took off on foot. 35-year-old Brian Munoz of Westwood ran through the bushes and directly into heavy traffic on Dana Drive. He was struck by a car and knocked to the ground. Another responding officer apprehended Munoz. He was treated at a hospital for minor injuries. Police say there was Methamphetamine in the car. The female passenger was released.
