A wanted man was arrested after a chase Friday morning just south of Redding. Julie Mitchell with Holly Bail Bonds called the sheriff’s office for help with 40-year-old Brian Scott McCain. He had failed to appear in court and forfeited his bail. Mitchell said that when she spoke with McCain on the phone he told her he was going to kill everyone at Win-River Casino. His family also said he had become aggressive and threatened to kill everyone in their home. The sheriff’s office had gotten many reports of McCain shooting a rifle inside the home, threatening casino staff and walking around casino property with guns and knives. He had an active felony warrant from Tehama County for violently resisting an officer. Deputies went looking for McCain at the family home on Redding Rancheria Road and found the family had fled the house in fear of McCain, who was still inside. After deputies used a loudspeaker to call McCain out, he was seen by a CHP helicopter crew running out the back of the house and along the canal. He was captured in the backyard of a home on Redbank Road.
