Mass Vaccine Clinic Planned For Friday At Shasta College

Shasta County reported 64 new positive covid tests on Friday and Saturday, but no more deaths. Public health estimates there are 142 active cases in the county. 6 people are currently hospitalized and two are in intensive care. The total number of cases reported in Shasta County is 11,463.

Anyone 16 or older can now get the Pfizer vaccine in Shasta County. The Pfizer vaccine is the only vaccine approved for people 16 and older. A mass vaccine clinic is planned for this Friday at Shasta College. Appointments can be made at myturn.ca.gov. Many other clinics are planned including some with weekend and evening hours. Starting on April 15th, people can host larger private gatherings indoors and venues can allow live audiences with strict capacity limits. More people will be allowed indoors if they show proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test. As of Tuesday Shasta County remain the red tier.

Butte County has reported 178 deaths among their 11,176 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,062 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,594 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 3,501 cases and 36 deaths.
Modoc County has had 479 cases and 4 deaths.
