K9 Alerts Deputies Who Seize Over 25 Pounds Of Meth

OROVILLE, Calif. (AP) – Authorities say a 48-year-old man stopped for speeding in Butte County was arrested after 25 pounds of methamphetamine and other drugs were found in his pickup truck. Butte County sheriff’s officials say shortly after a deputy made the traffic stop Friday, his K-9 partner alerted him to the possible presence of narcotics. Officials say a search uncovered the meth, more than 1.5 pounds of heroin, a pound of suspected fentanyl and 388 oxycodone pills that are believed to be counterfeit.
