Red Bluff Police are hoping someone comes forward to shed some light on a shooting early Monday morning that left a homeless man in critical condition. At 1:34AM Monday, multiple 9-1-1 callers reported hearing a gunshot and a person yelling on Hickory Street. The 32-year-old victim was found on the ground with a gunshot wound to his lower torso. Due to his condition he was unable to give officers any information about the shooter before being transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital. The investigation has led police to believe that a homeowner had a confrontation with the victim before the shot was fired. They’re asking that homeowner to reveal what led up to the shooting, and they’re still seeking more witnesses.
