Growth Of The Klamath Wildfires Continues To Slow

The River Complex in Klamath National Forest is 197,500 acres with improved containment of 65%. Evacuations have been reduced to warnings for some areas but evacuations remain in effect for Callahan, Mosquito Lake and Eagle Creek.

The Antelope Fire east of Mount Shasta is not expected to grow, with 95% containment after burning 145,600 acres. Evacuation orders and warnings have all been lifted.

The McCash Fire in a remote area of the Marble Mountain Wilderness in the area of Ten Bear Mountain and McCash Creek has burned 92,640 acres with containment of 36%. Evacuations have been lifted for areas around Happy Camp north of Titus Ridge and Frying Pan Ridge. Fire managers say Somes Bar and Oak Bottom are in danger.
