Another 8 deaths by Covid have been confirmed from Tuesday, including a woman in her 50s and a woman in her 60s, 3 men in their 70s, 2 men in their 80s and a woman in her 90s. 133 new Covid cases were also reported the same day, with the great majority of them younger than 40. 620 people are known to be carrying the virus in Shasta County, 98 of them in the hospital and 19 in the ICU. Nearly all patients who die or get very ill are those who have not been vaccinated. A third dose is recommended for immunocompromised people.
