Another 125 Covid cases were reported in Shasta County on Wednesday. 629 people are known to be carrying the virus in Shasta County, 93 of them in the hospital and 18 in the ICU. September saw a staggering 45 Covid deaths in the county, bringing the total to 299. The surge in hospitalizations has prompted Mercy Hospital to request- and receive- help from the National Guard in the form of 14 medics.
