A Redding man who was reported missing on Monday has been found dead after crashing his motorcycle in Trinity County, according to the CHP. 67-year-old Ernie Glynn was reported missing by family members Monday afternoon after not speaking with his family for a couple of days. A neighbor reportedly said they had seen him leave on a Harley Davidson motorcycle Saturday morning. Thursday afternoon a hunter was driving on a power line access road along Highway 3 near Strope Creek Road, and called authorities after he spotted a motorcycle that had crashed down a steep embankment in between several Cedar Trees. Ernie Glynn’s body was found concealed in some bushes nearby, and he had been ejected from the motorcycle. The CHP and Trinity County Deputies searched the area earlier in the week after receiving reports that Glynn’s cell phone last pinged at 12:29PM Saturday afternoon on Highway 3 between Long Canyon Road and Bowerman Ridge. The CHP says that there were no obvious signs of a crash along the highway where Glynn’s body was found. Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the crash is asked to contact the Trinity River Area CHP Office.
