The Dixie Fire is still 963,309 acres and 94% contained. Small pockets of vegetation and needle cast are burning but crews have mostly transitioned to repairing dozer lines and other damage done in the firefight. 1,329 structures were destroyed in the Dixie Fire.
Containment of the Monument Fire has improved to 93% after burning 223,124 acres. Crews are mostly in mop-up phase. Some gusty wind has revealed a few flare-ups, but the fire is nearly extinguished. All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted, but a number of road closures remain in effect.
Highway 299 is still under one-way traffic control between Del Loma and Burnt Ranch. A pilot car is escorting traffic through every one and a half hours from 7AM to 7PM on weekdays. Escorts run continuously overnight and on weekends with delays of up to one hour.
The River Complex in Klamath National Forest continues has burned 199,124 acres with improved containment of 89%. Evacuation orders have been reduced to warnings.
Very little activity is being reported on the McCash Fire in a remote area of the Marble Mountain Wilderness. It’s burned 94,962 acres and it’s now 86% contained.
