PG&E has narrowed the scope of a Public Safety Power Shutoff planned for Thursday. A total of around 16,000 customers will lose power in 12 counties. That includes 721 customers in Shasta County and 1,227 customers in Tehama County will be affected. The previous announcement involved 4,800 in Shasta County. The shutoff began early Thursday morning, as restoration is expected starting around Noon on Friday. Details about specific addresses can be found at pge.com/pspupdates . PG&E says winds of 52 miles an hour were detected in Shasta County during the shutoff earlier this week.
