Some catalytic convertor thieves have been caught in Anderson, according to police. An APD Officer in the neighborhood off Driftstone Drive was flagged down Thursday morning by someone who wanted to report a suspicious vehicle which the person said may be involved in recent thefts. The officer found the suspects’ car as it was leaving the neighborhood and made a traffic stop. The driver, 24-year-old Victor Hernandez of Oakland, had a suspended driver’s license. The car was searched and in the trunk the officer reportedly found two recently cut catalytic convertors, along with a battery powered reciprocating saw and other tools. Hernandez and his two passengers were arrested.
