Shasta College Among Schools Offering Student Aid For Volunteering At Non-Profits

Thanks to a $1.8 Million state grant, Shasta College students can earn up to $10,000 in student aid each year for volunteering time to local non-profit organizations. Starting in the Fall semester, 100 full time students will be matched with local service learning opportunities. To be eligible, students need to be full-time and provide 450 hours of service throughout the semester. Shasta College is one of 45 campuses statewide to receive the funding from “Californians For All College Corp”.
