A Tehama County man has been re-sentenced after blowing his probation. 35-year-old Tyler Scott Sain was arrested on April Fool’s Day of last year at the Speedway Gas Station in Red Bluff. He was standing in the doorway of the store acting agitated and not making a lot of sense. A Red Bluff Police Officer got him to step outside, but then he tried to go back in and the officer attempted to detain him. Sain pulled away from the officer’s grasp and started running around, ignoring commands to stop. He ran to the gas islands and armed himself with a squeegee on a 4-foot-long handle which he swung at the officer multiple times. Backup arrived and eventually detained Sain, who was injured in the process. While en route to the hospital, Sain slipped his cuffed hands in front of his body, removed his clothes and and ripped out the door panel of the patrol car and destroyed the electrical wiring inside. He was sentenced last year to 214 days in jail and 2 years probation. He apparently violated that probation and has now been sentenced to 3 years in county jail.
