At around 5:20PM, Redding Police were called to Harpole Lane on reports of shots fired. While on the way, officers learned of the attempted robbery. 20-year-old Jacob Marrow was acquainted with someone in the home. He reportedly had violently assaulted a member of the family and demanded cash and property. The victim retrieved a gun to detain morrow and fired a warning shot. Officers located Morrow but he apparently fled on foot into the wooded area at the east end of Harpole and ended up between there and the end of Middleton Drive.
