Shasta County Reports 639 New COVID-19 Cases Over The Weekend

Three more Covid deaths have been reported for Shasta County. They were a man in her 40s, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 90s. Shasta County’s transmission rate is 1,156 per 100,000 residents, which is 10 times what the CDC considers “high transmission”. The weekend brought an additional 639 cases. At least 1,441 Shasta County residents are known to have the virus, though that number is believed to be far higher. There are 75 patients hospitalized with Covid and 10 in the ICU. Every home in the country can get four free test kits mailed to them by simply visiting covidtests.gov. Vaccinations are available for free at many locations.
