A massive volume of material was gathered from homeless camps in Red Bluff last week by Red Bluff Police, Tehama County Probation, Code Enforcement and Public Works. Notices to vacate were posted a week earlier and a large dumpster was left on private property off Reeds Avenue and along Reeds Creek. On Monday the cleanup began, which included four abandoned and unregistered vehicles and the chassis from two motorhomes that had been destroyed by fire. A total of 100,000 pounds of material was cleared from the property. On Tuesday another 10,000 pounds of material was cleared from homeless camps in a field behind Tractor Supply. On Wednesday another 8,000 pounds of stuff was removed from a camp on the south bank of Reeds Creek.
