Update: Oroville Shooting Suspect Leaves 1 Dead, 4 Injured

Authorities say one person is dead and others wounded after a shooting on a Greyhound bus in Oroville. At around 7:30PM Wednesday night Oroville Police were called to an AM/PM store on Orodam Boulevard on reports that a shooting was in progress on a Greyhound bus. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect fled after the shooting but was later found The man who opened fire on a Greyhound bus in Oroville Wednesday night had gotten on the bus in Redding, according to Butte County Sheriff Cory Honea. 21-year-old Asaahdi Elijah Coleman is accused of shooting five people. Witnesses say he had gotten a phone call that agitated him, and he then started talking to other people on the bus and became paranoid that one of them was an undercover officer. They say when the bus parked near the AM/PM on Oro Dam Boulevard and people started getting off, Coleman started shooting. 12 shots were fired from a 9 millimeter handgun. A 43-year-old woman was killed and four people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl who’s in stable condition, a 25-year-old pregnant woman who’s in critical condition and a 32-year-old man who had multiple gunshot wounds and is in critical condition. Another man was treated and released. Coleman reportedly ran to a nearby Walmart, ditching the gun along the way. In Walmart he started arguing with a woman and got into a fistfight with her boyfriend. After the fight was broken up he went to the front of the store and took his clothes off. He was naked when officers got there and arrested him with no further incident.
