An update on the count from Tuesday’s Shasta County Board of Supervisors recall election is expected Friday, but it More ballots have been counted and the Shasta County Elections Department released updated numbers Friday afternoon showing that voters in District Two continue to favor recalling Supervisor Leonard Moty. Numbers released Friday show that nearly 56% of voters approve of recalling Moty, while just over 44% oppose. The race was separated by just 384 votes, but with Friday’s update the margin has grown to over 1000 votes. The leading candidate to replace Moty had been Dale Ball, but the new numbers show Tim Garman has taken the lead at nearly 38%. Dale Ball has nearly 36% of the vote, and the margin has grown to 126 votes in favor of Garmin.
