Redding Fire Department contained an East Redding garage fire and rescued a dog. Firefighters arrived about 9:20PM Friday evening to find a detached two-car garage fully engulfed in flames on Middleton Lane off Hartnell Avenue. The fire was spreading to an RV that was parked next to it. Firefighters saved a dog that was in the RV and then knocked down the fire, preventing it from spreading to the adjacent house. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
