A Seattle woman was the person fatally shot inside a Greyhound bus in Oroville last Wednesday. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that 43-year-old Karin Dalton died at the scene of Wednesday’s shooting. Her relatives said she was traveling with her 14-year-old son and her 11-year-old daughter, who was one of those wounded in the shooting. Authorities say 21-year-old Asaahdi Elijah Coleman had gotten on the bus in Redding. Witnesses say he had gotten a phone call that made him act agitated and paranoid, and when the bus parked near the AM/PM on Oro Dam Boulevard and people started getting off, Coleman started shooting. 12 shots were fired from a 9 millimeter handgun. Dalton was killed and 4 others were injured, including a 25-year-old pregnant woman who was in critical condition and a 32-year-old man who had multiple gunshot wounds and also was in critical condition. Coleman reportedly ditched the gun and ran to a nearby Walmart, where he got into a fistfight and then took his clothes off. Coleman was arraigned Friday for murder an attempted murder.
