The Red Bluff Area CHP Office is looking for witnesses to a head-on crash that killed a Gerber man Wednesday. The collision happened at around 12:40PM on County Road 99-W south of the Walmart Distribution Center. 56-year-old Charles Williams of Ramona was driving a Freightliner tractor-trailer southbound at about 40 miles an hour while 25-year-old Ryan Myerssias of Gerber was northbound in a 2005 Ford at an unknown speed. CHP Investigators are unsure which of the men allowed his vehicle to cross over the center line before they collided head-on. Myerssias died of his injuries. Williams was not hurt. Witnesses are urged to call 527-2035.
