Shasta County Public Health reported another 27 Coronavirus cases Wednesday. There are currently a confirmed 168 cases, though the actual number in the community is believed to be significantly higher. There are 25 Coronavirus patients in the hospital, 3 of them in intensive care. Starting Friday, masks will no longer be required in California schools. Public health says that some students have high-risk relatives at home and therefore may choose to continue wearing a mask. Parents are encouraged to remind their children to respect such decisions.
