The City Clerk of Yreka reportedly had hundreds of child pornography images on his computer, and police say some of them may depict abuse done by him against local children. The Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force alerted Mount Shasta Police after a forensic audit revealed about 200 photographs showing children of various ages engaged in sexual activity. On Friday 39-year-old Arthur Franklin Timothy Boyd was arrested at his Yreka home. A search warrant turned up information that Boyd may have victimized children whose abuse has not yet been reported. Mount Shasta Police can be reached at 926-7540. Arthur Boyd is a longtime Siskiyou County resident who was in public works before recently being appointed as City Clerk for Yreka. He also had a leadership role in the Boy Scouts.
