Despite a very vocal organized opposition, a housing development in the Palo Cedro area was unanimously recommended by the Shasta County Planning Commission at a meeting Wednesday. The supervisors chambers were packed for the meeting. Consideration had been delayed multiple times by the commission, and now the project will require the approval of the Board of Supervisors. The Tierra Robles Subdivision would be 166 homes on 715 acres accessed by Old Alturas Road and Boyle Road. Many neighbors cite concerns including water, traffic and fire danger.
