A fire in the Igo area was started by an escaped burn pile. The “Platina Incident” was 90% contained Friday morning. It started around 2 O’clock Wednesday afternoon in a remote and difficult-to-access area near Nono Road and Platina Road. Cal-Fire and Shasta County Fire are assisted by Happy Valley Firefighters and the U.S. Forest Service. The forward progress was stopped Wednesday night at 10 acres.
