Anderson Police did a minor decoy alcohol sting on Friday and made three arrests, but they had nothing to do with alcohol. It was a shoulder-tap operation, in which customers are approached in the parking lots of stores and asked if they’ll buy booze for the underage decoy. Nobody agreed to make a purchase, but when the decoy was in front of the 7-11 on North Street, two people in a car reportedly asked her if she wanted to buy some pot. The car was stopped by police, who say they found a loaded unserialized “ghost” handgun, several bags of cannabis bud and scales. 22-year-olds Chole Lane and Isaac Dunton were arrested. While at another store at Balls Ferry and McMurray, officers saw two people loitering out back and one of them, Christopher Maples, was arrested on a felony warrant.
