Although it’s too late for mail-in ballots, voters have several choices for getting their ballots to the Registrar of Voters. Anyone who wishes to vote early in person may do so at the County Clerk’s Office. Ballots must arrive at the Elections Department by 8 O’clock Tuesday to be counted, or be postmarked by Tuesday. There are ballot drop boxes at the City Halls in Redding and Anderson, and at the Shasta Lake Community Center. Ballot drop boxes are also located in Holiday Market and Savmor stores, or they can be dropped off at any polling place in the county on Election Day. A lot of information about the election can be found at elections.co.shasta.ca.us. The Shasta County Elections Department is at Placer and Market in the south end of the Market Street Promenade.
