Deputies Arrest Man Accused Of Threatening To Kill His Girlfriend

A man wanted for a domestic violence incident was arrested after a slow speed chase Saturday. On June 5th a woman reported that her boyfriend, 60-year-old Richard Kenyon, hit her and then placed a gun to her head and threatened to kill her. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies had been looking for Kenyon and Saturday afternoon they learned he was southbound on Interstate 5 from Lakehead. Deputies caught up to him when he reached North Market Street and tried to pull him over at North Point Drive. He proceeded slowly until he reached Saint Marks and eEaster Avenue, where he yielded and was taken into custody. Deputies say Kenyon had a loaded pistol, mace and Methamphetamine. He was booked into jail on multiple charges.
