It looks like the incumbents for County Clerk, District Attorney, Sheriff, and Superintendent of Schools will retain their seats in county wide races. Meantime the District One Supervisors race appears to be headed to a November runoff, according to numbers released by the County Clerks Office Wednesday afternoon. The latest numbers show District Attorney Stephanie Bridgett’s lead over challenger Eric Jensen shrunk slightly, but she still is ahead 56 to 44 percent. Michael Johnson leads the sheriffs race by a 63 to 37 percentage over challenger John Greene. County Clerk Cathy Darling Allen leads challenger Bob Holsinger by 69 to 31 percent. Judy Flores also saw her lead shrink slightly over Bryan Caples 57 to 43 percent. Only the District One Supervisor race between Erin Resner and Kevin Crye appears headed to a run off. Resner leads 50 percent to 49 percent. She would need to get 50 percent plus one to win outright. There are still 5076 ballots left to count. The next update should be Friday.
