An early morning drunk driving arrest was complicated by the discovery of some loaded guns. Just before 2AM Tuesday Redding Police near Victor and Hartnell stopped a Ford Ranger for speeding. Officers thought the driver, 18-year-old Tony Perez, may have been drinking and had him do a set of field sobriety tests, then arrested him for DUI. While talking with the passengers, officers say they found 19-year-old Chyanne Valasco to be in possession of a loaded gun. The truck was searched and a loaded rifle was reportedly found near the driver’s seat. Valasco and Perez were both booked into jail.
